The 25th Anniversary Carlsbad 5000 Costume Contest

Start bedazzling those running shorts, pulling those sweatbands out of storage, and cleaning your old school Ray Bans—it’s time to increase the party factor at the 25th Anniversary Carlsbad 5000!  We’ll be rewarding those with the best costumes—particularly those who take the “25” theme to new heights.  Whether it’s going “silver” for the 25th anniversary, bringin’ it back to the retro-80s style of the inaugural year, or donning your best George Washington frock in honor of the 25 cent coin, help celebrate the big 2-5 with a little flair!

We will judge the costume contest at the Awards Ceremony on Sunday afternoon, following the Elite Invitational. Those who are interested in competing, please report to the Awards Tent by 12:30pm to be considered a participant.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 participants with the best, most creative costumes.

All spectators and runners are invited to partake in the voting process by clapping and cheering on your favorite costume.
